Car Crash 5-7-17

On Sunday May 7, 2017, at about 4:15 AM an uninvited visitor driving an older Chevrolet Impala, travelling south along Tuttle road did a left hook in front of the Life Extension Center, bounced along our property, went airborne, and pulled down a 19 foot section of our concrete wall. The vehicle landed in our lake between the wall and Stirling Falls circle. By late morning the Manatee County Sheriff’s office Dive team had located and removed the vehicle from the middle of the lake, about 70 feet from where it had entered the water. Details to be reported as they develop.

Who says we don’t have excitement here in Lakeridge Falls?

UPDATE:

We received a police report on the incident previously reported that occurred on Sunday May 7, 2017. The Florida traffic crash report filed by State Trooper K.C. Fernandez, who was incidentally the Trooper that was present and in charge of the actual operation on site that day advises: The Owner of the vehicle was insured and the driver has been located and interviewed. The driver was a 28 year old woman who stated she fell asleep at the wheel causing the vehicle to leave the roadway. The driver apparently did not identify any other passengers in the car, although evidence at the scene indicated others were possibly involved. The good news is that the vehicle was insured, amount of coverage unknown at this time, and no one was reported injured. Now we fix the wall and move on.

BTW the vehicle was a 2005 Chevy Impala, who said they don’t make ‘em like they used to?
